Since 2006, the Computing Center of SAS has been providing videoconferencing services to employees of other SAS institutes.
Video conferencing and video conferencing technologies are currently essential tools for effective communication and collaboration in organizations. These technologies make it possible to organize meetings and presentations remotely, improve communication with workers and improve training and education. It is a means of communication, exchange of information and sharing of experience in solving research tasks. It allows the managers of international and national projects to use multimedia transmissions for quick and cheap communication with partners and presentation of results practically all over the world. The advantage is that people can be reached via video conference on their mobile devices, regardless of the device platform (different mobile phones, tablets, smartphones from different manufacturers).
CC SAS currently has video conferencing technology installed in the lecture room with space for 12 (at most 20) students. This solution makes it possible to provide video conference transmissions of lectures, seminars and meetings. As a video conferencing system, we prefer Zoom, which is easy to use and allows you to efficiently organize and manage virtual meetings.
